Join our Santa Dash and Park run, a 5km sponsored circular dash around Towneley Park, with friends and family.
All participants will receive a fundraising pack containing sponsorship forms, posters, a Santa suit to wear on the day, a chocolate selection box and a certificate at the finish line
The dash, which will be fully marshalled and sign posted, will commence at 9am. It's expected that it will take participants between 30mins-1.5hours. The route is around Towneley Park, therefore participants are expected to wear suitable footwear and clothing and Make sure you take on plenty of water before, during and after the dash. Dogs are permitted to take part, but must be kept on a lead, under control at all times and picked up after.
Refreshments and Christmas goodies, including Hospice Christmas Cards and Calendars, will be available to purchase. There will also be opportunity to meet two special guest that are good friends with the Hospice!
All walkers need to register to take part in this event- adults- £12.00, children (15 years or under) £8.00 or a family of 4 (x2 adults and x2 children)- £35.00 with additional children charged the full children's registration fee. Each ticket will include a hot/cold drink for after you've finished. The Santa suits only come in either adult or child size. one size for each.
The registration fee only covers the cost of organising the event, therefore all participants are asked to raise sponsorship. The easiest way to do this is by setting up a JustGiving page which only takes a few minutes. Follow this link Santa Dash - JustGiving and click 'start fundraising'.
There is one large car park at Towneley that is pay and display, located at BB11 3RQ. This is right next to the park with plenty of spaces for everyone.
