Free Will Service
Register For Our Free Will Service
Previously known as ‘Wills Month’, our new Free Will Service is now available all year round. We are fortunate to have the support from a number of partner solicitors who can help you write or change your Will any time of the year. It’s the perfect opportunity to get your affairs in order, whether you are writing your Will for the first time or looking to update it.
These local solicitors provide their time and services to you free of charge in exchange for a donation to Pendleside Hospice in lieu of the solicitors’ fees. As a guide a suggested donation for a basic single Will would be £150 and £250 for a pair of basic mirror Wills.
Making a Will is not something we like to think about but, once it’s done, it gives you peace of mind knowing that your family, friends and causes like Pendleside Hospice are looked after in the way that you want.
It is Gifts in Wills that help us to secure our future and continue providing care for your friend and family in our local community. 1 in 5 patients are cared for from Gifts in Wills. For your gift – thank you.
Get in touch
Get in touch for further information or contact Sarah Holdsworth, our In Memory and Legacy Fundraiser at the Hospice via email [email protected]
We will help answer any questions or queries before putting you in touch with one of our partner solicitors who will then make an appointment for you to write your Will.
How to donate
Once you have drafted your Will with one of our partner solicitors we will then contact you to make a donation in lieu of their services, to Pendleside Hospice.
How your donation helps Pendleside Hospice?
The donations and pledges we receive through our Free Will Service not only enable our compassionate care team to continue to provide palliative and end of life care for those living with a life limiting illness and those important to them, living in our local community but they also help us secure our future.
Thank you for your support
*This offer applies to standard Wills, mirror Wills and codicils (a supplement making a change or addition to an existing Will) only. If your Will is not standard, your solicitor will advise you and agree a fee with you before proceeding.
