Dementia Support Services

We provide 8-12 week guided programs, with each session covering different topics to help manage and address the physical and emotional challenges of living with dementia.

We offer a range of dementia support services, including dementia and carer support groups, as well as guidance for people with new or early diagnoses. • Carer Support Groups
  • Support with New and Early Diagnosis
  • Practical Care
  • Hospice at Home Support
  • Family & Bereavement Support

Dementia Support Groups at Pendleside

More than 2,300 people across Burnley and Pendle are living with dementia, and we’re here to provide personalised support every step of the way.

Our dementia support groups offer a welcoming space to stay active, learn practical coping strategies, understand diagnosis and treatment options, and connect with others. Each programme concludes with a special music and celebration event.

You can also join our fortnightly Music Café, where music helps lift mood, reduce anxiety and encourage social connection in a relaxed and enjoyable setting.

Our Dementia Strategy

Our dementia strategy for 2025 -2030 outlines our vision, mission and objectives for the next five years, and how we plan to deliver this.

This strategy has been developed by our Dementia Strategy Group, which includes; people with lived experience of dementia, employees, and volunteers of Pendleside Hospice.
