Carer Support
At Pendleside, we understand that when someone you care for has a life limiting illness, it affects. We know that although caring for someone can be very rewarding, it can also leave you in need of some support yourself.
As a carer, you play a vital role so we can work with you and alongside you to make you feel involved, supported and listened to. Getting support is important, particularly when you are caring for someone, as you may face several challenges. Pendleside offers Carers the following services:
Counselling - Our Family Support Service provide support and counselling to adults, children and families who are caring for a loved one or who have been affected by a bereavement (or expected bereavement). Click here for more details
Complementary Therapy - Complementary therapies are natural and supportive practices, which are used alongside conventional medical treatments. Click here for more details
Financial Advice - access to our Citizens Advice Bureau clinic where you can speak face to face with an advisor
Carers Group - Our groups run every other Saturday in our Health, Wellbeing and Rehab department here at the Hospice. Each session has a theme/topic and gives Carers an opportunity to speak with other carers, share experiences. Please see Carers Group 2023 Schedule.
