An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Staff Nurse (RGN) to join us on Nights, as part of a wider Multi-disciplinary Team.  You will ensure that the unit is efficiently and effectively managed and will be responsible for ensuring that the service delivers high quality, evidence based clinical care to patients and their families/­carers.

Suitable candidates will hold a First Level Registered General Nurse qualification and newly qualified nurses due to complete preceptorship are also welcome to apply. A recognised Palliative Care qualification is also desirable but not essential, however you must be willing to work towards such a qualification.

The role is available 2 or 3 nights per week (18 hours, 40 minutes or 28 hours). You are required to work flexibly according to the needs of the service and must be able to provide holistic nursing care with care, compassion and dignity.

We are currently recruiting for an Auxiliary Nurse to join us, working as part of our Hospice at Home Multi-disciplinary team in the Burnley and Pendle community.

You will ensure consistently high standards of individualised care is delivered, together with compassion and bereavement support. Our aim is to make living with dying better for patients and their families and as a Health Care Professional, you will be there for people in their time of need. If you are enthusiastic and have a passion for palliative care, you may be the person we are looking for.

Flexibility will be essential to apply your skills, along with positivity and enthusiasm and you will have the communication and interpersonal skills that enable you to thrive in a friendly working environment.

Full Drivers Licence and use of own car with business insurance is essential.

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and Registered Nurse to join us working as part of our Hospice at Home and wider multi­dis­cip­linary teams. You will be able to demonstrate clinical excellence and maintain consistently high standards of individualised care, compassion and bereavement support. Our aim is to make living with dying better for patients and their families and as a Registered Nurse you will be there for people in their time of need. If you are enthusiastic and have a passion for palliative care, you may be the person we are looking for.

You must have a full driving licence and use of a car which is insured for business use.

This 22.5 hours per week (3 Shifts over 7 days) permanent position will work flexibly within the Hospice at Home Team, you will have the communication and interpersonal skills that enable you to thrive in a friendly working environment.

Assistant Practitioner

This 37.5 hours/week 12 Month Fixed Term position will work flexibly as part of Pendleside’s rehabilitation team, across Days Services, 10 bedded In-patient unit as well as in the community, therefore flexibility will be essential to apply your skills within a variety of clinical settings.  Positive and enthusiastic, you will have the communication and interpersonal skills that enable you to thrive in a friendly working environment.

TRUSTEE VACANCY

POSITIVE THINGS ARE HAPPENING AT PENDLESIDE HOSPICE.

Last year Pendleside Hospice celebrated 35 years of caring in our local community of Burnley and Pendle. Our aim is to continue to provide our services to all who need our support with the same care, compassion and support we always have done; whilst at the same time aiming to maximising opportunities to ensure our work continues for all those who need our support for many more years to come

We are looking to welcome new Trustees to our Board and are seeking individuals with a successful track record in one or more of the following specific skills:

  • Medical Professional -  Within our clinical trustee team we have a wealth of knowledge and experience in clinical strategy, nursing, advanced clinical practice and as a allied health care professional but would really benefit from a physician to join the team, adding that extra level of governance and guidance in the medical field.
  • Retail - We welcome applications for a person experienced in retail either corporate/­charity or retail online. We have exciting plans to develop our retail presence both on the high street and online and are looking for a Trustee with experience to support with this.

Our current board of Trustees are from diverse professional backgrounds and is a great, vibrant group looking for new people to support. Becoming a Trustee is a fantastic way to give something back to a cause you care about. You will be playing an integral part in the way Pendleside is run, ensuring we remain sustainable and financially viable. The help you provide will be invaluable to us and to all the people we support in the Burnley and Pendle locality

Getting involved as a charity Trustee is a great way to put your professional skills to use, but can also be a fantastic opportunity to learn new things. You’ll get a great insight into what is involved in the management of charities and gain skills in working well within a leadership role.

We are seeking Trustees from all areas of our community, with a particular focus on welcoming individuals from under­rep­re­sented groups, including those from various cultural and ethnic backgrounds.

Donation & Distribution Centre Coordinator

Retail

Hours: 25 per week worked flexibly over 5 days (Monday to Saturday)
Salary: £15,194 per annum

We are looking to recruit a Donation and Distribution Centre Coordinator to join our existing Retail Team.

The successful applicant will have excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills, together with good time management and the ability to organise workloads. Experience of working with the public or within a customer care environment is also essential, as is previous experience of roster planning and assigning tasks.

Respon­sibi­lities will include coordinating the running of the Donation and Distribution Centre located on our site in Reedley, the sorting and storing of donated goods and arranging distribution of items to our charity shops. 

Working with volunteers, you will also coordinate the collection of stock from the shops and the removal/­disposal of waste.

The role will involve travel throughout Burnley and Pendle; hence a valid Driving Licence with business cover and use of your own car is essential.  Travel expenses will be reimbursed.

We have an exciting opportunity for Auxiliary Nurses to join our Night Sitting Team, working as part of our Hospice at Home Multi-disciplinary team. You will provide night sits to patients within their own home.

You will ensure consistently high standards of individualised care together with compassion and bereavement support. Our aim is to make living with dying better for patients and their families and as a Health Care Professional, you will be there for people in their time of need. If you are enthusiastic and have a passion for palliative care, you may be the person we are looking for.

We have roles available for 2 or 3 nights per week, working 9 or 10 hour shifts Monday – Sunday (10pm to 7 or 8am).  Length of shift depends on which team you are recruited into. Flexibility will be essential to apply your skills and, along with positivity and enthusiasm, you will have the communication and interpersonal skills that enable you to thrive in a friendly working environment.
